Arizona in August
Just a few pics of our recent trip to Arizona. My poly/cotton digital camo X-kilt was just the ticket in the 100+ degree temperatures. Got lots of positive comments and free admission to one historic site from a young lady who thought the kilt was "wonderful...keep your money in your sporran."
Anyway, we saw lots of Native American sites (got struck by lightning at one, but that's another story), Meteor Crater, some neat old mining towns, lots of cactus, and picked up five new life birds, including California Condor. Thanks to our own Riverkilt Ron for great advice on what to see, where to eat, and how to stay hydrated.
Click the pic and it grows.
First, here I am in front of the ruin called "Montezuma's Castle" (despite the fact that Montezuma never came within several hundred miles of the place).

Next, the lovely Diana and I touring in the Red Rock country near Sedona.

Finally, MadBagpiper (sans kilt) pondering the Grand Canyon.
