Ditto! Plus a clean copy would be nice. My other one has notes scratched all over it.

That depends on who signed it. Barb (yes), you (maybe), or me (I'd guess I'd owe you a new book).

You know, a copy signed by several of the kilt makers on this forum would be quite a collector's item. Even a copy signed by Barb, that had been owned and used by Steve, and signed by him, would be huge... within the kilt world, anyway.

Congratulations Barb - I can't even imagine how much work must go into updating such a fine book. I am happy for you and for the rest of us in the kilted kommunity. You and Elsie have given us a real gift by preserving the art of kiltmaking.

Oh goody. It's finally happening. I very much enjoyed reading the first book (strange for a manly-man). I hope I remember look back for notice of the additional info.

I wish that classes were being taught closer to Kalispell, Mt. by any of ther instructors here. I would be very honored by any of there time.

I get the proofs tomorrow from the printer, and hopefully there won't be any glitches! I'll keep you posted.

Would there be a possibility of getting the corrections and updated information for those of us who have the first edition?

Ummm, no. The corrections and updates are sprinkled throughout the whole book. The instructions are basically the same, and the only truly crucial correction was already noted with an errata sticker on the shrink wrap of the first printing. I've clarified some of the instructions, changed a couple of the photos, and corrected the typos (I hope all of the them!). But none of that is crucial enough to make the first printing outdated (remember that this is a second printing, not a second edition). The updates in the URLs and suppliers are something that you could Google to find the updated information.

BTW - the proofs are back to the printer, I _finally_ got a signed legal agreement from my co-author, and the press run should be tomorrow or Monday. Woo woo!
