Beautiful pictures, McClef. I was just there but 2 months ago and I must admit, I miss it.

Edinburgh October Pictures #3
Part Three.
Painting in one of the military museums.

Etched glass panel.

Another painting - bought a postcard of this one.

The Thistle motive adorns many of the Castle roofs.

Building at the far west of the Castle.

The One O'Clock gun a split second before it was fired it made me jump so I missed capturing the smoke. Being a Saturday the crowds were large so couldn't get that close.

Dear Old Mons Meg!

More to come!

Edinburgh October Pictures #4
Part Four.
Inside St Margaret's Chapel at the Castle there are some nice stained glass windows.
St Margaret herself.

St Columba.

Don't know who this is, presumably another Celtic saint, I should have read the plaque underneath!

Same with this one!

Know this one - William Wallace!

Statue of St Margaret in a niche on one of the buildings.

More to come!
