Basically, you tear up a bunch of bread, pour a wee bit of milk over it, and then dump as much cheese and meats of types numerous and divers onto it (we usually use lots and lots of bacon and those little sausages). Then, put it in a pan and throw it into the oven 'till the top is nice and crispy. Finally, eat it and enjoy the feeling of the cholesterol building up…

If we are to proceed, and it does appear as though there is some interest, then what would be the best process in terms of the "project" being considered by the powers that be here? Too, we need to identify some of the aspects of the tasks at hand. Maybe a bit a brainstorming in terms of what folks most enjoy in such cookbooks or collections. For example: interesting stories? articles of interest re kilts, Celtic lore, historical anecdotes, soties behind some of the foods, recipes, ingredients? These are just a few ideas, but the sorts of things that add real interest.
Then there is the organization of the book: ingredients? courses? regions? other?
Any ideas as to how best to create an initial repository for storage of recipes, stories, etc?

If I may make a suggestion. Why not publish a real book (I'm not offering) anyone who wants to participate submit up to 3 recipes and a good quality pic of themselves. All profits (after vanity press costs of course) to go to some mutually agreed on charity.
I'm in for Yorkshire pudding and gesundheit cake (or more appropriately called heart attack cake).

I'm in, I have several favorites to contribute!
This would be the way to go.
Question - What does it cost to get a book professionally published?

The "cake" sounds delicious...something for a cold winter day that would stand up to a Guinness!
