I think that I'd be open to going to Hoboken. But can I get back to the city late night? Do they close the door for the state?

Just for the record, since the last regular Kilt Night was held there, is the info on the locale for this evening:
St. Andrew's Pub 120 West 44th Street (between 6th & 7th Avenues) 212-840-8413.
It's closer to 6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas), and if you're coming from the west, don't be fooled by the scaffolding. The facade of the place is tiny, but they have a banner hanging out on the street.

St. Andrews sounds fine to me....and even more fitting!
We can do Scotland Yard another time.

I think St. Andrews in NYC <45 Street> show be the Official meeting place, for the NEW YORK City St. Andrew Kilt Day/Night Meet up in honor of Saint Andrew's Feast day on FRIday November 30, 2007.
Manhattan is central for most people to reach.
Then maybe for a future Kilt night we can visit Hoboken's Scotland yard.

I can make that, if that's the call. But I understand St. Andrew's gets really packed on Friday evenings. I wonder if we could make a group reservation or something...

Which tartan?
Which tartan?
Trying to decide Which tartan to wear for St. Andrews feast day.
Do I wear my Family's tartan,
"Weathered Stewart Hunting" or
My new district tartan "Hollyrood" ?
Leaning toward the newly arrived district tartan!

My wife will probably be coming, TwoBigFins, so you likely won't be the only lady in attendance. The more, the merrier, of either sex, I say.
I want to repose my earlier question; does anyone know if there is any chance of getting reservations at St. Andrew's to avoid the maddening crowd?

In the silence which has followed your question, I have called the restaurant and reserved a table for six for 6:30. That's counting you and the Mrs., myself, our convenor, Dalmore and Chef.
Anybody else out there planning to join us? Please advise, so that we can adjust the reservation. This in NOT a big place.
