South Carolina...I vaguely recall huge liquor store called South of the Border where I used to stock up on Mescal....many years ago....think they had Tequila or Mescal with little plastic sombreros on the caps....

Oh goodness. That is THE quintessential tourist trap. I-95 just south of the North Carolina border. Anything they can do to separate you from your money is fair game there. Liquor store, amusement park, gift shop, dairy queen, you name it - they have it. It's like Wall Drug in South Dakota but tackier.
