I think the only special times needed to wear the kilt are on those days of the week that end in the letter "Y".............. That's the special day for me.

Sunday - Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday - Friday - Saturday...... all other days, I stay in bed

ok the 3rd one looks OK to me. what was it before it was changed? Also the first one isn't half bad either (note the modern kilt was designed by englishman in a mill, or so he is given the credit anyway). The 3rd one should say something crazy like "of couse they only wore it on their birthday, they were naked the rest of the year.

I like the one that said there were two kinds of kilts: the great kilt and the English kilt! I though the first article was reasonably accurate, though.

It never fails... Those who know the least speak the loudest.

I'm glad there's at least one website out there that does the kilt (and kilt wearers) justice!

With that first one, I was laughing at the Balmoral "facts" and the hose colors.

The first one has a few misteps but it is fairly accurate. Some of the incorrect info is of course based on widely held beliefs, so at least they weren't making it up as they go. All-in-all a reasonable attempt.

The last one I guess has since been corrected so i don't know what it said before. the second one bothers me the most since it says ridiculous things and there is no way to send a message that it is incorrect. At least the first one has an email address so you could at least debate the issue with them.

Because this is the interweb and publishing it on a website makes it fact.

Yes... that was my answer. There were 2 OTHER answers up there (forget what they said... something about only wearing them on special occasions or that Irish don't wear kilts). When I went to edit, it showed those 2 answers first in my "edit box". I deleted them b/c I didn't want to duplicate what they said, then I typed MY answer. I didn't know it would delete theirs from the site, but that's fine by me.

A question like that deserves a somewhat sarcastic answer.
