Nice job, I think a lot of people underestimate how much our mothers know about knives and value good ones.

Between a Blacksmith dad, commando brothers and regular "housewife" (as if) stuff, my mother has tons of wisdom about knives. Nearly everything I know about knives comes from my mother.

Very Nice Jamie...Is the tang the entire length of the sgian dubh? With the blood groove (fuller) so close to the top, it almost looks like the blade comes from a folder...I hope she enjoys the gift as much as we enjoyed looking at it.
