Hmm, I don't feel like using my google-fu, can someone give me more info on "Diane" and her knitted hose?

You might think twice about this, when you are typing you aren't knitting. It might just double the time to wait for your hose.

I'll second Mark's comments, and add that "what it takes" is practice.

I learned to knit for the sole purpose of
making myself a pair of kilt hose. It wasn't
hard at all. In two weeks of "spare" time,
I had a pair of 100% wool, over-the-knee
length hose of incredible warmth.

Me too. But I work nights typically six days a week so it took much longer. I have also found that knitting is just as addictive as kilting. I started out thinking I would make x, then y, then move on to z etc., but I currently have a pair of work socks, a baby hat and a sweater all in progress with three other projects planned for the immediate future, all before starting my next pair of hand knit kilt hose.........
(the yarn I am using for the sweater is the same brand and color as I used for the kilt hose. I hope to have it finished to wear on Christmas day with my MacGregor tank. I will inflict pictures on all of you)
