Here... hope this helps everyone.
When the originals are loading for folk I will, of course, take them off of my photobucket.
(I have it set to private so no one can see them without being on this thread anyway.)

looks like you had a great night with some lovely ladies.

Just to report, we had a rousing night despite the approaching cold, with about a dozen attendees.
The evening included a moving Address to the Haggis given by the inestimable Chef, which was enjoyed not only by ourselves, but by all the other diners in the restaurant! In the course of giving it, though, Chef was so carried away while stabbing the haggis, that he shattered the charger it was on into several pieces! The comment was made that this is the result when one uses a Scottish knife on an English plate.
The Immortal Memory was given (despite the speaker having left the text of the speech home ), and the Toast to the Lassies was given by the professioral Cirthalion in Burnsian verse! His consort read a poem by Burns on Women in reply. This was followed by various attendees reading poems from Burns' opus.
We even had Bobbie Burns himself come to our table to express his appreciation!!! And we have his id to prove that it was he. [/QUOTE]

Great pics and love the old railway poster of Edinburgh in the background!
Is the broken "chaser" the groaning trencher?

It's groaning now!!!
The dictionary, though, defines a trencher as a piece of wood, while this was porcelain. Thanks for helping me to clarify that.

Wow, what a sharp looking gathering! Certainly setting the bar high on that one. And thanks Arlen, for reposting the pics, much easier than having to decode each one.
Best regards,
Jake
