    Wonderful work thus far, I am looking forward to the completion, as for what to do with the remaining yardage, I'm not sure what you can do with it being a novice at best with a needle.

    Looks like you have to choose between a fly plaid or a casual kilt, can't have both. Either way, there should be enough for neck ties and flashes.

    I would definitely get some of the extra fabric made into flashes. As for the rest of it... maybe you could leave it with your grandmother for her to make something (don't know what) for herself.

    What a great idea! If she's interested, and there's enough material, she might like a sash.
