Nice hose - but I must admit that I can't figure out how to cast a vote.

I'll vote when you tell us how.

Ok, I must admit that until my wife decided to enter this thing, I was not familiar with the Instructibles web site. But it seems to be a site designed to allow people to upload videos, pics, or slideshows about how they've made things, or how to do things, etc.

Within this site, Lion Brand Yarn is holding this contest for people to enter in projects they have made using their company's yarn. This is what my wife has entered.

Having spent some time this morning looking around the Instructibles site, I must say it's not the easiest to navagate! They do not make it obvious how to "vote" as we have discovered. But I think this is what you need to do.

First, you need to register. You do that in the upper right hand corner of the page. It's free, and took me about a minute to do. (Just make sure you uncheck the "receive newsletter" box in the registration so you don't get on any list!). Once you are registered, you can "rate" the project. At the top of the slidehow window, on the right, is a number with a + and - next to it. If you like my wife's socks (and you do like them, right?) click the + to give her rating a boost. I think you can only do this once. At least it only seems to allow me to do it one time.

So far there are 255 entrees in the Lion Brand Yarn contest, and of them my wife ranks 24. Not bad for just joining yesterday! Let's put her on the top!
You can see all the contest entrees here.

Matt, thank you for the further instructions.

After I registered, the rating stood at 18. I clicked on the '+' but nothing appeared to happen. No 'thank you for voting' message, no change to the rating, etc. Does that sound right? There seemed to be nothing for it but to come out of the site - which I then did.

    I hope my vote counted.

    Take care,
    Ham.
