I found this on the Scotweb site - http://kiltstore.net/sr_swhdr_eighty...ame=Ma:stage=2
and, allowing for all the usual variation problems with pictures/monitors etc the sett and colours appear to be the same.
So perhaps it is a MacMillan tartan after all.. :buttkick:

Very Important if you are ordering from the Woolen Mill!
I checked with the Woolen Mill and their preferred method of shipping to the US is UPS. So beware of tarrifs. They will if requested send the item Royal Mail so make sure you ask.
Further info on their "value" line of kilts. The kits are made from 16 oz Marton Mills fabric. Not Scottish but at least the UK and it is quality goods.
Thought you would want to know.

Well it's just arrived!
Pretty good as it was only ordered on Wednesday night!
It was sealed in a plastic bag that was inside a rigid UPS cardboard box and in turn within a plastic CityLink bag and delivered by one of their Couriers.
Having unpacked it I got out my camera to capture initial shots.
The front apron.

The rear pleats. No basting stitches but then you would not normally expect them on an "off the peg" item.

The label - true it doesn't say the tartan was woven in Scotland but still looks very impressive! The kilt is made in Scotland and is pure new wool!

I undid the buckles and took this inside view - probably my settee wasn't the smoothest place.

The pleats are between 2-3" deep and it's pleated to the sett as you can see.
Sorry about the ruler - it has got a little chipped in its time!
