Perhaps this is a silly idea, but I too like the feeling of having a story behind everything I'm wearing. I'm big on jewelery, and tend to wear a lot of it. Most of my jewelery was family heirlooms, came from music festivals I've been too, or was purchased on bush trips in Canada. Anyway. I come from a huge antique selling area. If anytime anyone is ever looking for something in terms of clothing or...pins or anything. I would love the task of trying to pick out something special for someone.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

But I concur with everyone else. Even through my girlfriends making these socks, I have come to know Alan better. Stan has sent me some kilt pins much earlier in my X-Marks career, and I have had plenty of good jest and discussion on these boards.
Heck, I talk about most of you people like you're my next door neighbors, and the only one I've actually met is my bloody girlfriend!

PS - Technically I've met Jeff and Durbinite of the Columbus Kilt Night fame, but that doesn't count, they weren't members then!

By BLOODY I assume you mean:
B - beautiful
L - lovely
O - outstanding
O – on the ball
D - dazzling
Y - yummy
Remember she carries long sharp instruments of knitting and mayhem.

I certainly agree, and I am not afraid to use my pointiest knitting utensils to prove that I am all of the above and more.

I've had the pleasure of aquiring items from a few different xmarkers here on board, and I cherish not only the item, but the care and thoughfulness that went into making them and most importantly, the friendships I've developed because of it.
xmarks is my clan.
