The pub with music tonight.
Tomorrow (Sat), I am going to a German restaurant celebreating St. Paddy's Day with a friend, and we'll be kilted and eating bangers and mash . . .or something appropriate. (No green beer.)
Finally, Monday will be the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Conyers, Georgia. It is only 2 separate 1/2 blocks long, and everyone who shows up is in the parade. it's a typical, hokey, small town parade, and it'll be fun. Anyone kilted will be moved to the front of the parade, and we usually have at least one piper. Then we all spend the rest of the evening hanging out, sampling the local "waters," and there'll be a street band if the weather cooperates. It is a lot of fun.
And next year, I'll be wearing a safron kilt if I can get one.

I have nothing planned for this weekend, however, a handful of us kilties up here in Fort Collins will be stepping out on Monday for the "Reinforcing O' the Stereotypes". I plan on a pair of huge scary black leather boots, SWK Saffron, black t-shirt, black leather Motorcycle jacket, and SWK Saffron Fly Plaid.

Here in NYC, we DO have the liturgy for him, since it's the diocesan patronal feast, and the cardinal has officially dispensed us from the usual obligation of abstinence.
For X-Markers, there's a pub crawl planned for tomorrow. I'll probably be attending. If so, I'm combining my SWK saffron standard with green socks.
Enjoy, one and all!

I'll wear my Cork tartan w/ new 'Fighting 69th' kilt pin to work. Afterwards, I'll join our fine local Monterey Bay Pipe Band for the annual Pub Crawl though downtown Monterey and Cannery Row.

Let's see now, tonight it's off to the pub (Dublin Crossing) with my daughter for Guinness and good music. I hear tell that the kilted get their first pint on the house.
Saturday it's dinner at home with a few friends including one that plays the pipes (oh my poor kitties will be in shock). The menu includes corned beef and cabbage, tatties, neeps, beer bread and strawberry jam cake. Of course there will be an assortment of appropriate beverages.
Sunday is to rest up for Monday. The DC is having pipers in house, a group of Irish dancers, prize draws, drink specials and a myriad of other fun stuff.
As to wardrobe, tonight I think the MapleLeaf with a Canadian National team rugby jersey, Saturday an Irish National team jersey with the saffron kilt and Monday a different Irish jersey with the Irish National kilt. Of course, all with accessories to match.
By Tuesday I'll need some down time!!
