Thank you all for your kind words.
I guess it is fortunate for me that my 12 year old Daughter (the ultimate animal lover) was here when Cindre died. She was able to tell her she was a good dog, and that she loved her. After hearing that Cindre closed her eyes and stopped breathing.
I feel guilty now that I commented that my house was a zoo. I like it being a zoo. Now the house feels empty even though there is a Black Lab (Melanea), Miniature Schnauzer (Hans), and several cats roaming around.
Thank you all again for letting me "talk" about what is on my mind.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Our pets certainly develope into members of the family, and are missed just as much at times.

Here are some sites and another poem I found when my Nikita passed away in 2004.

You can create a virtual memorial to your lost pet at the last link. My Nikita rests there. I go to visit her often

I see people with dogs that aren't given much chance to become part of the family, you have just lost a lovely dog who had a happy life.
My condolences.

It never gets any easier, but it's always worth the effort...i have had dogs, cats and guinia pigs in all possible combinations for 33 years. I've never regretted it.
Sorry doesn't cut the sting, but it's all i got.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I still miss my dogs that have left me even though new ones have come into my life to give me joy
My sympathies to both the 2 and 4 legged members of your family,
Sara
