Why not wear the Argyll even though it's green with the Cunningham kilt? Give it a try, if you still aren't sure post a picture here before the event, but don't wear the PC it is not the right time for it, let it air out. I am sure you will find occasion to wear it soon enough.

Ok, so here is a pic of what I plan to wear to the wedding. The green argyle and Cunningham do look alright together, though it is not something I would probably do very often. I really need to pick up a charcoal daywear jacket.

Here are some pics of the prince charlie. I am sure I have broken all kinds of laws by pairing it with a regular tie, green hose, green shirt etc. . . but it was really just a mock up to see how the jacket looks with my kilt.

The PC feels a bit too short. Does it look that way to anyone else?

Comments, concerns, critiscisms are all welcome. I mainly am looking for comments on the green argyle outfit though.

The argyle with the Cunningham looks really nice, I agree the pc would have been to much. But to my untrained eye it doesn't look to short to me. Have fun at the wedding.

Perfect with a solid color tie. The diagonal makes me feel.... well, diagonal.

I like the tweed ensemble, particularly how you tempered the green with the gunmetal shirt. I wouldn't change a thing.

Relax, and have fun at the wedding.

    Regards,
    Rex.

exactly! A charcoal grey jacket (some day) would give you loads of versatility, but this combination is a classic. Just perfect for an afternoon event.

Yep, I agreet 100% with Rex. The gunmetal shirt indeed "tempers" it. That with the tartan red make the argyll look less green than it is. I wouldn't change a think either.

I would generally wear what most others are. If you anticipate most of the other men attending as guests will wear white shirts, I would also. Or colored, if they are. Or no shirt and flip flops, etc.
