Ozman...I love that tartan (Clark/Clergy). Would you happen to have any more pictures? FC's sight shows it looking more blue than what you have in your photo. Your's looks like it's a bit more purple.

I have same kilt and it is a deep blue. Depending on the light it can look purple but is definitely blue.

If they have it in stock, you should be fine. Otherwise, you'll probably need to wait awhile.

I had a poor experience with FC in the past, but I'm willing to give them another try, especially after hearing about others positive experiences recently. Thanks for all that have chimed in.

I just bought 3 kilts from them this past week. They weren't in stock, so I know I'll be waiting a while. But this topic prompted me to give them a try and see what all the fuss is about, or...isn't

I own both a SWK Standard and FC 16 oz kilt. Both are acrylic, easy to care for. Both appear and feel very similar and are also very similar in price (around $80-85 USD). I believe that both companies get their acrylic kilts from overseas, probably from Pakistan. THey are so much alike I would not be surprised if they come from the same manufacturer.
The difference is in the customer service and the tartan selection. I believe those issues have already been addressed in the previous posts.

I believe, from reading past threads, that they are made by the same company. I remember seeing something a while ago about one of the companies getting kilts with the label of the other company.

It's pretty much a deep (Royal) blue, blck and white. Probably my camera makes it seem a bit purple.

I own 2 Stillwater Kilts and 14 Frugal Corner Kilts, the SW Standards are the same as the FC 16 oz...
As far as service FC now has a Brick and Mortar location, that Mark Wright works very day. This now is his only income...
FC just did a special weave for The New World Celts, we just ordered 94 custom made kilts...
I have been very happy with their product and service.
They did a special Masonic weave for my Shrine band, 20 kilts.
I think the world of both SW and FC kilts.

I have the same tartan from FC and it looks a little different under different light sources, sometimes more blue, sometime a little more purple.
