Looks very good.
I thought I read that your Sergeant Major placed you in the line. Was that only because you were in a kilt? or what position do you hold that caused you to be in the receiving line?
I'm not trying to be a smart *** here, I just know how the Marines do these things, and haven't a clue about the Army.
At a Marine Corps Ball, the host command would have the senior officer and enlisted in the line, and maybe the senior person from each command represented.
If you were there as an usher, was the kilt the only reason you were in the receiving line?

I don't know if the Sergeant Major knew what he was doing, he told me to stand there and usher people away from the receiving towards their tables and make sure a backlog did not happen. I think that it is safe to say that I was the senior Staff Sergeant there, if not on the base. So, I was there maybe to make the Sergeant Major look good?

Dang, brother. I think you showed 'em al up. Only the sergeant next to you even comes close to looking that sharp, but then he is enlisted.
Thanks for the pix and for representing the kilted so well.
