Caddy One .... yep they are chuck taylors ... thats all I wear apart from the very very odd time (like once or twice a year to some formalish evening event, like the one we went to a couple o weeks ago with the students newspaper) when I do wear some leather brogues, although I still dont feel comfortable wearing them .. dunno why, just me I guess. I have a few high chucks and several low ones and also in the last 12 month bought two pairs of fake leather but waterproof one's.
McMurdo ... yep I have been lucky the last month. I have been putting money aside for a long time to purchase a new cilt .. thinking only of a made to measure jobbie. Then when I had the chance to by the St Davids ex hire, I was amazed at the quality .. and likewise with this new one now ... they look as if they have never been worn. So I have had two cilts for still less than the price of one made to measure. I am very very pleased.
James ... thanks for you compliments on our kitchen .. the rack on the ceiling is in a fact a clothes dryer ... let it drop down, put the clothes on n sendit nack up again .. keeps it all out the way.

Nice choice! That's a good looking tartan.

Beautiful kilt! You wear it well.

Perhaps I should add that tartan to my favorites list.

It's for drying clothes indoors during winter (or when it rains!)

That's cool - I thought it was a piece of artwork! Nice!

I'm low-tech, I string a rope in the garage when it rains.
