If you are still at an impasse and equally like all your choices then place all your choices on paper in a hat and pick one!!! One time I was at such an impasse and I let my daughter pick.

That's the way to do it if you like them all equally. Pick one at a time out of a hat. Then you'll have a numbered queue which you can cross off as time and funds allow.

Try putting together a list of why you are attracted to tartan - colors, family connection, other connection etc. Try for five or six categories and then weight them. Your top category could be 10, second 8, third 6 etc. Then put the tartans on columns across the top and put a check in each category that the tartan meets. Multiply by the weight, add total scores. Should give you a ranking list of tartans based on highest to lowest score.
Or you could just put the list on the wall and throw darts at it!

Well, I'm planning on Getting A Claddish for hunting in Idaho and an American Heritage to honour my wife once I have a wee bit of money spare.
Maybe if any of those are on your list...

If you can narrow it down to a couple. Ask if you can get some swatches to decide the order.

I've owned 22 USA Kilts now...just buy them all in clumps of three or four. Pics in my albums if that helps any.

Another method for choosing is to match not just your other clothes but the season. I tend to wear brighter colored kilts in the spring and summer and subdued colors in the fall and winter.
