Christopher and I will have to chat about it tonight to see if we can make it. We'll try to let you know soon! I hope we can make it, we've been wanting to hit some of their scotch selections for a while.

Dang it, I can't make another one, especially in Plano! I can't even justify going to McKinney this Saturday to see Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas, and my wife and I absolutely love them! Something mid-cities to Fort Worth is my territory of choice.
Also, don't forget about the Scottish Invasion the last Saturday of July - location to be determined, but will likely be a restaurant in the mid-cities. It's organized by the TSF&HG e-group. I'll let everyone know when a location is determined.

Please do. I have no idea what it is, but the words "Scottish" and "Invasion" together is always intriguing .

Will I be there? It's certainly a possibility. I don't know of any schedule conflicts so far.
Kilted? I suppose I could cut my new fabric in half, pleat it, belt it on, and call it a philabeg. I'm afraid I don't have a sporran, hose, or pretty much any other kilt accessories, though. And my only wide belt is burgundy, which doesn't match any of my shoes. Now, from what I've read on this site, SWK should be able to get me all I need and send it to me with time to spare. But I don't think I can scrounge up enough money at the moment. So, if I show up, there's a 97% chance I'll be trousered.
I guess I ought to get to work on that material. I just haven't decided whether it makes more economic sense to start off by buying Barb's book, or by buying a Stillwater acrylikilt (which costs about the same as the book) and taking my time with the wool. Also, I haven't weighed the material yet. Well, I tried weighing it on digital bathroom scales, but it didn't register. If it's heavy enough, I might try to make two 4-yard kilts instead of one 8-yarder.

What kind of material is it?

Well, like I stated...we can plan something in between Dallas and Fort Worth - I just need a date and a commitment of sorts that all the planning does not go in vain...
It's frustrating to try and orchestrate something and no one show up.

This Saturday I'll be doing a show at the Stockyards until about 9:30. So, unless we meet late, I won't be able to make anything in Big "D" or thereabouts.
I would enjoy a get together, though.

Yeah, the TRE connects Dallas and Fort Worth, then you take either the Blue or Red Line to Mockingbird Station, which is immediately below Trinity Hall. I think it's still $3 for an unlimited day pass to ride all the trains.

How about we try and get together after the July 4th holiday?
