Welcome from Northumberland in England!
I've tried searching for a Puerto Rican or Caribbean tartan with no luck.
As others have said, just go for what you like, especially as far as generic (non-clan) tartans are concerned. If you fancy a particular clan one, well, be my guest. Though I'm less enthusiastic about doing that myself, it's a free country the last I heard!
Cheers

Welcome aboard from the other side of the Mason-Dixon line.
You've come to the right place to ask about tartans. There are lots of experts here.

I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Tracking down ancestors can be a really fine hobby. Type in geneology into google, and you will find hours of fun.
