It is wise to use much discretion on such a public forum when complaining about a company so dear to so many here. I advise putting it up for sale. You're welcome to use the forum. But I still feel sorry you had a bad experience.

I agree - selling the kilt would probably be the best solution.

I myself have had a very good experience with UK customer service - I returned a kilt that had defective snaps, and they sent me a new kilt (even in a different size, as my original one was a bit large). I was impressed.

Customer service varies with each person who is giving the customer service.

As for washing it prior, if it was dirty then I can see where you would have wanted to wash it prior to return. However, they did say not to wash it. I have read through their entire website (only took about 15 minutes to a half hour... unless you count watching the Mocumercials, then it took much longer).

I agree though that if they wont take it back, sell it on Ebay or somewhere for maybe 25% off the retail and it should sell if the right person finds it. Chock up the loss to life and learning. Stuff happens.

If it was the Camo original in 52 waist... I might would be interested... but you said denim and I hate denim.

Hmmm, back in the olde days of Uncle Otto and CJ I got a denim kilt with a bad snap and they sent me replacement snaps and I ordered up a snap attacher (hammer needed) and replaced the snap myself....

I fear the good old days at Utiliklts may be behind us.

If you can get your kilt back from them no doubt you can at least sell it for most of what you paid for it - especially if its that new. Course denim...no clue why, but my blue denim UK that I outgrew and have offered for sale here still hasn't sold...go figure that.

I won my one and only kilt in one of their mock-u-mentary contests. Due to various reasons my entry was DQ"d. But CJ went to great lenghts to contact me and explain why and made good with the kilt you got for entering. I was sad to see that he left. I think my now acceptable entry is still on the mock-u-mentary page. Look for "Radio Tom" if you are in the mood for a chuckle.

Depending on what size it is I might be interested in buying it. I normally take a 34-36 in waist.
