Woot! Congrats, there is nothing like the feeling of freedom!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Hey, in my book he is still a kid! Definition: A Kid is any person too young to draw full Social Security Payments! (In my day, the Navy used round shot and rammers)

I will feel safe in North Carolina, as I am sure SharpdressedScot will probably operate his motor vehicle as carefully and respectfully as he has proven in his posts on this forum. Congratulations from a real OLD fat man from Boston. BTW, I learned to drive in a Kenworth conventional with a twin stick. My 'rents were to chicken to let me drive, my uncle was happy to have me do some of the driving, and a lot of the loading of the 42' trailer.... ( while he napped in the sleeper over.) From that vantage point, I thought of just how bad the damage could be...it kept me driving carefully for decades. Still have a commercial license, with a group of endorsements. Just empties out the wallet when I renew, as the State of Taxachusetts collects a huge "fee" for every one of 'em.
Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down.
