Glen,
Looks like a very nice day for a sail. If I remember right, the tall (space needle like) tower is a communicatioin tower, whose is it?
Thanks,

Great set of pictures. I attended the 11:30 sailing with my spouse. It was a great day with good music, a warm day and lots of sailboats out enjoying the gentle breezes and the air show at the Canadian national Exhibition. To the immediate east of the main harbour is what is known as the Leslie street Spit made up of construction fill and left to grow into natural habitat. Walked all the way out about 5 kilometres on Sat. Be a good area for kilt hiking.
On the boat trip there were 4-5 kilt wearers including one elderly gent with an Australian or New Zealand " stetson" ( the one with one raised brim). I don't know whether his kilt had shrunk as it was at least 6 inches above the knee.
Hope to attend next year and will go kilted. There is an upcoming Ceilidh on Sept. 26 with piping, dancing, meal etc. Following day there is the 40th Anniversary Fall Colloquium at the University of Guelph. A reasonably active fall schedule of Scottish events.

Glad you had a good time at the early sail, it really is a wonderful thing to do. Wallace that is the CN Tower, while it is used as a communication tower it is much more than that, including the worlds tallest free standing structure. Here is my thread from when I visited last summer.

Yes Dan, his wife and Terry were all at Fergus I met them there when they were at Peter's booth picking up the L&M Sporrans they are wearing from him. I've not yet Lilith in my SCD travels, however I did see some SCDers I know, the Scottish community here is large however it does seem small as you end up bumping into the same people at different functions.
