Yes... First I folded the jacket into a lotus, then a frog, then a swan.
Now that I think about it, I used the origami folding more to mark the hem because I can't use chalk. It is also easy to fold the jacket in different ways to check the symmetry. I used the seams and folds as reference lines to locate points on the surface of the jacket for pocket placement and so on.
For the curve, I pinned a patch of the jacket's material, right side to rightside, over the area, then sewed along a cardboard curve template. Then I turned it inside out after trimming closely along the curve.
Anyway, this is interesting to read how you have progressed from one jacket to the next.
