Kilt nite in NC
I will come if there is enough warning. I don't navigate well in Charlotte but I will try.

I'm well late to the party, and I apologize if the meeting has past but Caribou on East is in fact open. They only closed for a day or few. I doubt I'd be able to make it to anything before the new year, and I'm not exactly active on this forum but it seems a coffee shop would be a good place. No pressure to buy anything (at least anything more than $2) and no wading through throngs of distractors. That Caribou in particular has a reputation of tolerance.

As usual, I'm lurking interestedly from south of the border. I'll try to make it up there Real Soon Now!

I'm going to set a date. We're meeting on the 9th. Where? I would almost like to suggest perhaps either the Northlake Mall Food Court or perhaps the Carolina Place Mall one. Both are a bit uncentralized. But for meetups I have found that food courts are great because there isn't the pressure to buy if funds are short and there is a choice of variety. Let me know what ya'll think.

Looks like no decision has been made. I'm leaving EARLY in the morning to go about 6 hours north for the Urbanna, Va Oyster Festival. I'll head back to Charlotte Sunday AM. So, depending where/when this will be held I either will or won't be there. How's that for being specific! Seriously, if this is going to happen, I'd be more likely to see a PM than wade through 3 1/2 days of posts.

I've got a bit going on in my life since being laid off from my job. The last post I put up nobody responded to. However, I do encourage everyone to feel free to help if they are so inclined. I promise, I won't mind. I would welcome it.

I second that. But I will check Sunday when I get back to see if it's happening anywhere. If not this weekend, we could try and get something together later.

I'm not much of a mall person either but on the other hand, for me, right now not knowing if I'm going to even be approved for unemployment benefits... and if I do get approved for how much, I just can't justify spending money at a pub or eating establishment. And unfortunately, those places do have a reasonable expectation that if you go there, that you should buy something.
