haha well thanks, but the way I see it, necessity is the mother of invention.
if you can't afford stuff....learn to make your own.
plus, I found it to be fairly easy. I wish I had a sewing machine that could go thru leather to speed it up and make nicer straight stitch lines but oh well.
I'm sure centuries ago they didnt have sewing machines so im happy with the 'rustic' look as it is.
Thanks!

You never know, Hector, you might end up making sporrans et al for others at some point...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I'm right there with you Hector. My eyes are definitely bigger than my wallet, I've been thinking about making a kilt for several years; coming here and seeing what everyone else has done got me off the pot and building. Since I've been on the board, I've made four XKilts and a sporran; I've also bought material for three more kilts, a badger to make another sporran and Barb's book to help me do these things right.
Scooby keeps telling me I should make kilts or sporrans(or kites or just about anything I try) for a living, but I like my job and don't want to mess up my hobbies.
I love the sporran you've created there, nice work.

Fantastic job.
