I did a lot of the sewing with the jacket hanging. I used a few coat hangers and other things to hold the jacket open. I could also walk around the jacket to get at different spots.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Before long I should have pictures of the whole daywear outfit including the waistcoat and Lewis hose. I have edited in to the first post, links to an album with the before and after pictures, as well as, an album where the progression from start to finnish of the outfit will be posted. I may remove the pictures displayed in the first post at some point in the future to make roome for other pictures in the gallery, but the album links and their pictures should still be there.

Now that I've seen more conversions, I find myself ready to do another one and replace the tweedy jacket I have now that was the source of that page.. I hope my next one comes out as nicely as this!
