I've had many sporrans, still have many sporrans. The traditional ones are fine but I struggle with the drawstrings and nail on a chain arrangements. I fell in love with the pure convenience of this sporran. I can work it without bending over to stare at it and figure it out. When the leather ones came out went to a black and a brown. Wear them mostly now, just because they're functional and easy to use.
My favorite feature is the front pocket which keeps my wallet secure and ready. Don't have to rummage around to find it.

Check out this link. Oh crap. I see they still have the nylon and black leather "irregulars" available. I just ordered the brown leather a few days ago. Must have been popular as they are no longer listed.

Since picking mine up about a month ago I have been wearing it a lot. I still plan on building an organizer for my leather sporran but until then this sporran is perfect.

I modified ine by putting velcro on the flap as to add fabric sporran badges:
( shown next to a tactical monkey sporran)

Patches I can use on both:

( I had to distort one of the patches so I could post this pic)

Irregular nylon sporrans show up on the Stillwater closeout page from time to time, but I've been wary of buying one. Is anybody here who's gotten one willing to post a review?
I understand that the flaws don't interfere with the usability, but are they noticeable?

I too bought one of these sporrans only I have to report that the belt loop on the back of the sporran has come adrift. Specifically the material that comprises the loop has torn at the upper stitching.
This is a great pity since until that happened I used it almost every day. When I catch up to it I will get out needle and thread and repair it, but I was surprised that it happened considering how well made it seemed to be and how little I put in it.
The normal contents are wallet, drawstring purse, mobile phone, small pad of paper, ball point pen and a small pack of tissues. I thought that this was well within the capabilities of the sporran.
Still, it is an easy repair which I will carry out. The sporran itself has just arrived in Malta along with 60 kg of my belongings shipped out ahead of my arrival there in a few days. When I get there I will update this post with a photo.
