    ta much!

Thanks to everyone who wrote a reply, especially since I couldn't even figure out how to upload the pics! I just created my website last night so I think my brain's a bit fried.

    To answer yours':

Thanks for the tips about the URL, I'll get it sussed one day.

Yes, I have leather needles, but I think the combination of the thickness of the leather and the fact that my mum's old Singer machine is ANCIENT and rusty, made for very dangerous sewing, needles pinging off everywhere! And to be honest, once I got into a way of doing it by hand, I liked it better.

I agree about the stitching! I don't mind it when it's black or a matching colour, but the contrasting ones DO make it look a bit childish. Especially on the patch pocket on the back. I was originally trying to make them a lot more rustic than they appear now, they seem to have become a wee bit too formal. I have done one in plain black with black rivets round the edge instead of the stitching, which I quite like, gonna do more of them.

Finally, I'd love to be able to do wholesale but I think I'd be running before I can walk! I work full time on a newpaper, and with 2 cheeky sons to look after, I don't get a lot of free time. (Ah, but my day off is usually spent elbow deep in leather, glue and rivets... *sigh*). But thanks for asking!

Here're the photos you were trying to post, Lindy Loo:

I think I'd have to agree on the over-sized lacing being a bit too much. Definitely striking, I'll grant!

Very nice work! The lacing is a different, but in my opinion, nice accent. I like to see new ideas being tossed out.

Also, I've noticed the link now works.

I like the top one better, but I don't know if I would actually wear it or not, not really my style so to speak.

Thanks Beertigger! Still don't know how you did it (I'm a *whisper* mac operator by trade you see, so pc's are beyond me!) x

Thanks for all your opinions, I've realised that the pics don't do my sporrans justice, they look much better in real life (honest) ;-)

There's a new XMTS link on my website, I figured out how to do that at least!

More sporrans on the way as soon as my D rings arrive. I'll post the pic of the riveted one soon as I get a chance.
