I'm not sure yet what the "dress code" is going to be next Friday. I'm planning on wearing a Black Watch jacket, so Jamie will likely be wearing his Black Watch kilt, but we'll see!

Ah, ain't that sweet, they're tartan coordinating.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

You make it look so... easy! If you don't have talent, marry it. Jamie is one smart dude.

I just love my wife...
This new jacket has become a favorite of mine, it is light weight, comfortable, and looks very sharp without looking too dressy.

In other words it's just perfect for smart day wear.
I saw the other day that Target now carries the same jacket in Khaki and mentioned it to the Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess. I joked that in another couple of months I might be able to score another bargain from the clearance rack.
She asked me if I would like another jacket? When I eagerly responded yes she said...
"Just go buy it"
She has a lot on her plate at work at the moment, so I may have to wait a month or so for her to find the time to convert the jacket.
Still, I am one lucky, lucky man!
Cheers
Jamie

Is it just my eyes, or do I see a second (presumably false) pocket flap added above the original, functioning flap? That's a nice touch, adds some balance and makes it look less like a jacket that was shortened. Well done!

That looks great!!
What's with cats and sewing projects? My sister's cat hates me except for when I am sewing.
The jacket looks great Star and thanks for sharing the picture tutorial.

Cats like sewing projects, paper, and computer keyboards. In that order.

Are you suggesting that Jamie doesn't have any talent?

Not by any means! I am sure he is a talented fellow. It was advice to those of us without it.
