I love Enter the Haggis too. I have several of their tunes from Napster! One Last Drink is awesome and Ride My Monster is just too funny (freaks my 16yo daughter out).
So, when will you & Kilted Rebel be attending the AZ Ren Fest? It starts this coming weekend. Sounds like a good reason to gather the sizeable kilted Rabble here in the Valley for a warm welcome!

If everything goes according to plan, we will be there the 14th. It will be interesting to see the fest again. Last time I was there was back in '03. But I didn't have a kilt back then. Ded Bob is hilarious, that will be cool to see again. Just point me to the serving Wench with the Mead!

We appeared with them at the Detroit Highland Games in 2008, and we destroyed a hotel bar during an impromptu session immediately following the Saturday sets. That's another story.

Let's just say that you will most likely NOT see them and Albannach at the same session. Those in the industry refer to Tartanic as the J.V.Albannach which is not entirely fair. They tend to wander off from the Celtic beat and bagpipes, and show their diversity. As far as the band members... they're great guys with a load of enthusiasm! That comes across in their shows. They're quite entertaining for the crowd.

Tartanic did break up, but reformed with a slightly different line up. They released two CD's at TRF(Texas Ren Fest) last year, I was there for both release shows.

In fact, at the show where they released "Unleashed" Adrian called a young man up on stage who wound up break dancing to the pipes. The kid was good, good enough you almost forgot how strange it was. Almost....

Thumbs up We nae left ye

Tartanic never did break up or stop touring. We did have some personnel change, and with that our former piper and webmaster, upon a less-than-happy split has been holding www.tartanic.com hostage for more than two years now. You can always send complaint mail.

Enter www.tartanic.net in April 2007. For all your Tartanic updates and such, check it out. There is a link to a radio interview, our Myspace and other goodies that will take you to our new music.

Thanks for the support, spread the word--and we hope to see you this year!

    Cheers,

    Adrian Walter

    *best Sly Stallone voice* ADRIAAANN!!!

    Good to see you here!

Two years ago, Adrian and his mates were performing at the Bristol Renaissance Faire in Wisconsin, and I had the distinct pleasure of being a human drumstand at the first show I witnessed. Every weekend my Kelley and I went (and we were seasons pass holders) we caught at least one of Tartanic's shows. They are simply an amazing and talented group of guys, and Adrian's funny as Hell.

I'm hoping for an opportunity to see them again (Seriously, guys, come and perform at the highland games next June in Coquitlam, BC!), but in the meantime I am enjoying my CDs. There's nothing like rolling down the street with your windows down, the stereo blasting pipes, and the bass cranked!

Tartanic got a big thumbs up from my 11 year grandson. He loves the pipes and drums and came out to listen to them when I brought them up on You tube.

Kids love 'em. Watching the kids rock out to the pipes was as much fun as watching the lads perform the show itself. As well, my students in grades ten and eleven enjoy Adrian's reading of W.B. Yeats's "A Memory of Youth" off their album Unstoppable.
