And another on the other side for a "Two Gun" look and more storage space.
    That would be awesome!

How many people have you seen that own day sporrans and belts..

This sporran has a magnetic catch. Too easy to open for someone behind you, unlike wearing it in front where it has more visibilty.
A nice solution was done on some Nicoll Brothers of Bankfoot models: under the flap was a short piece of leather and a press-stub (PRYM Druckknopf). This holds the sporran mouth closed. Most of the models that had this did not bother with a magnetic catch for the outer flap but I think it could be a nice extra touch to have one.
To be honest, though, I think the danger is less having someone place their fingers in a sporran to remove something than to try to take the sporran. Fishing around in a leather pouch just takes more time and effort than trying to cut the belt and grab the thing at the right moment. The main advantage, I think, of a sporran over a purse is that the bad guys don't have as much training and experience with them and what's in them...

We saw lots of police in Munich downtown. Later in the afternoon there were many peace marches and protesters in the area, but fortunately we were gone by then.
Just there, I guess, for Joe Biden's talk? :-)

How about putting 5 or 6 on a wide belt and wearing it like a bandoleer?

Was the sporran a hanger for the Saltire as it's now landed in Germany?

I wore mine that way only on the left hip several times since I got it. It is just too handy to have my wallet and keys right there. My wallet has actually caused me pains in my hip by adding pressure to the nerves there. Used it all weekend during my 5 hour driving trek to Hersey, PA and back, felt great!

I had a chiropractor tell me once that he would be out of business if men stopped carrying fat wallets in their hip pockets all the time. It is especially bad whilst driving. He was not kidding, and he was the sort that was in it for the money (he collected very expensive pocket knives, which is what I made then).

I too have gotten so used to having my stuff in the sporran, that I wear it on my hip with jeans sometimes. I didn't like stuff in my pockets anyway, from years of working at home (no need to carry a bunch of stuff around at home). Seems quite natural to me now. And my Thorfinn sporrans are way better made than any of the waist packs that I have owned. Looks better too !

    Think "CUT PURSE"
An old term for "pick pockets" Until the late 1800s men carried "purses hung from their belts.

BTW most of my SPORRANS are made to hang from my main belt & I wear them often with my TREWS.

No way! I carried the Saltire in an inside pocket of my jacket, with a velcro closer to ensure its safety. I felt a great weight of responsibility while the Saltire was in my care.

Today I sent it off on a new journey. I'll let the new caretaker announce its arrival.

Here are samples of me wearing the "sporran" on the "side"

As I said, most of my sporrans can be worn hung from the "main belt"

Here are pictures of me wearing it,
With the KILT ( often I wear a jacket or coat that wearing my sporran "traditionally" is not practical.

Whilst in Scotland two years ago I used my all-nylon cargo sporran every day, kilted or panted. Hung it right up front when wearing jeans...handy and safe.
