It is my opinion that days like that should not be deducted from the one's total allotment.

As for the concert....meh. It was Rufus Wainwright. Wife loves him.
As for the kilt - a few stares, a few smiles, one Question "I have to ask..." (no, you really don't) and one question "I would be remiss if I didn't ask what's the occasion" (no, you wouldn't).
As for my wife, nothing but compliments about how dashing, brave and - ahem - downright sexy I looked.
Must do this more often.
