    Thumbs down

I have to disagree, guys. The plaid is just too long. Go for the mini-fly plaid and pin it up on your chest. The Laird's plaid is strictly a survival tool for hill-walking or grouse hunting. I have 2 full fly plaids to match my Bermuda and my Irish kilt and both appear big but neither is more than a metre square. Go for a shorter and rectangular mini-fly size 12 x 42 and pin it up ala NYPD (www.nypdpipesandrums.com "Photos").

Hate the hose tops, period. The light blue shirt to match the blue in the tartan is an interesting choice, though. It's the first time I've seen someone wearing Leatherneck on its own without any other USMC ecoutrement. In that context, it looks good, otherwise I'd advise a long-sleeve red twill shirt or a USMC scarlet polo. Sky blue isn't a color I generally associate with the Marine Corps.

The trousers on the USMC Dress Blue uniform are sky blue.
