PV Kilts-Another love story..
Hey y'all-
I received my 2nd PC kilt from the ebay vendor http://stores.ebay.com/The-Scotland-Kilt-Company. While I would much prefer to buy from Rocky (That IOS PV is gonna happen sooner or later!), these guys sell a really nice PV kilt. They sell 2 kinds-The 5 yard , 2 strap PV kilt that the Heritage od Scotland folk put out (I DO NOT LIKE THOSE) and a 8 yard tank with 3 leather straps. I have ordered a Royal Stewart, and my newest acquisition, a MacDonald (One of my clans!!). I think I'm about ready to say that these are my favorite casual kilts. The material is this REALLY durable.....I guess PV, but it reminds me of Carhart work pants material, and it is just as durable as anything! It comes out of the bag EXTREMELY stiff, so I had to low heat with steam it to press it out. The early stiffness almost feels like your wearing a barrel, but after a day, the material eases up and it really is something to wear. I wore my matching blue and green diced hose with it yesterday, and was stopped maybe a dozen times in the Atlanta area!! So anyone out there who is on the fence on this PV thing-GO FOR IT! I encourage all members to try and support North AMerican businesses such as Rocky's for a PV kilt, but if budget constrains you, the above mentioned store provided a kilt that I will wear numerous times in the coming years for around 50$.
