The beauty of the S.I.A. site is it is en Spanish. A nice handout (printout in Spanish) of either of these sites with pictures of the kilted performers would end the kilted Spaniard problem.
It is interesting that the parents see you as a Hispanic. I have had a similar experience with parents thinking that I am a minister, just because they only see me as a religious person teaching their children every Sunday. Our congregation's minister suggested that I should be in Clergy tartan for the occasions when I lead a service. I explained that I would then feel out of place.
My High School French teacher had a Polish name, and my German teacher was from Mexico. Go figure.

    Don-day esta el ban-yo?

I teach biology and wore a kilt to our last evening meeting at school for incoming Freshmen and their parents. Got lots of great comments (lots of "I hope you wear it to class!").

¡Que bueno que hablas español! Me gustaria que mis estudiantes tuvieran un atitud así. Muchos no saben que si dan un poco de esfuerzo, no es muy dificil aprender hablar el español.
