Ted, it could possibly be, among many reasons. I may be a woman, but I don't speak for every woman and we all have our preferences of course. Sometimes it's not comfortable depending on your leg shape, or depending on what you do.
I used to wear long full skirts a lot. I actually do miss it. I would love to get more skirts again. They will probably be of the long full sort again mostly. I just love those. I would of course wear other lengths, but I'm more comfortable in the longer, fuller ones. Trousers can be more convenient sometimes. Sorry guys.

You sound like my hubby (17 years together this July 3rd). Of course, I think he's the most handsome guy I've ever seen.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

These days I find that I have to shave by budget for recreation. :crap:

Men who would commit to learning the dance without wearing a kilt means to me:
They didn’t want to be seen traveling to and from class in a kilt.
If you are going to be in a performance art then I say go all the way!
They think that kilt wearing needs be full kit and expensive.
We know better. Especially for a casual occasion like a class.

That why one of my favorite responses when asked why I wear a kilt (especially when asked by a guy) is - "I don't want to dress like a woman!"

Reminds me of the time a woman wearing slacks shouted at me "you are dressed like a woman!"
I riposted "Madam you are the one wearing trousers so just as well I am not dressed like you!"
