I've got ten and I am not even "regular" in them yet---still occasional and off hours so far. Getting more opportunities --should I say MAKING more opportunities to wear the kilt on a more regular basis as I get more comfortable and the wife less intolerant. I still have a few on my wish list in addition to the few I have in the various phases of construction or wait listed for construction. But am running out of tartans I really want so my growth rate, or rather that of my kilt collection, should hopefully slow in the next year or so. I am not threat to Hamish's collection's impressive stature and size.

Yikes... a glimpse of my future (with any luck!)
For now, unadulterated jealousy...
note to mods, I think we need a "green with envy" smilie.

I have a theory that when you put more than one kilt in a closet, they reproduce!

I started wearing kilts last August. Have purchased 10 in that short time. But two were too big and I sold them. Down to 8 now, but boy do I have a long list of wanna-kilts!!! It is truly addictive.

Hope you're right about that, McFarkus. My second is already in the works. Once I get it, I'll make sure to hang them side-by-side and put on some mood music!

Just ordered my first in February and by the middle of March I had two more in my closet. I'm thinking of ditching my SportKilt, but trying to find a way to sneak another kilt into my closet without SWMBO discovering it...

Well, your order it in the same tartan..... After all, the SWMBO is not paying attention to the quality of the kilt, just the pattern.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Don't worry, ya got a long way to go before you even have a chance to catch up with Hamish. I'm back to my original three. Sold off all but one UK, then finally had that one get so tattered that it was unpresentable. Worked great for hitting up a junkyard for auto parts. Didn't have to bring my toolbox in, if I was just grabbing some items that didn't need multiple wrenches. Finally gave up on it in September 2007.

Beyond the significant investment that 20 or 30 or more kilts represent, I'm wondering about the space they take up in the closet!
Some of you guys must have much larger closets than I have in my house.
