Can't tell ya how many times I've done that when climbing into my car.
The last major "senior" moment, was my locking the keys in my car last spring. Left them on the dash. Had to wait from about 1:30 pm until about 4 pm before my father came with a replacement key that he had the Volvo dealer make for me. So far, I've done that three times in the past 9 years. Once in 2000 @ school, once in 2004, when I met up with mkmound in Redmond, WA, then this last time. After the last time, I replaced the latch hardware with later model parts, so I can't lock the driver's door, if it's open.

In a morning I am very good at going into the kitchen and putting my tea bags in my mug then sitting waiting for the kettle to boil when I have forgotten to switch it on!

About a month ago I forgot to put tea into the coffee pot, all I got was a pot of really hot water, I guess I could have dunked the tea bags in, in hindsight, but I put the water back into the coffee maker and tried again.

Just did that this morning... and got a very strange look from my staff.
Serves me right for wearing pants!

I need a handler...
About a month ago I was complaining to the lady who buys our office supplies that our fax machine, a piece of junk, was out of ink again. she said she would pick up some cartridges the next day, The next morning she called and asked me to fax down some affidavits for a basketball game we aired on our AM station. I said,' I can't! remember our conversation? Our fax machine is out of ink!!!"
Dumb and dumber...

My 'best' senior moment happened when I was but 24 years of age. I phoned a girl. She answered. I completely and totally zoned her name. Should've hung up right then but, no, I stammered and yammered for what seemed like a lifetime before she finally giggled and let me off the hook.

Since I retired I've taken to naps in the late afternoon.
Occasionally I awake at six o'clock.
It may take me a few minutes to determine if the time of day is am or pm.
