'New and Improved' - which means they have been selling us 'Old and Rubbish' for years and years.

Which brings to mind a whole new class of words... two words that shouldn't appear in the same sentence together, but do...
Like:
"Congealed" and "Salad"

How can something be both new and improved? If it were new, then there wouldn't have been something upon which to improve... and if it's been around long enough to be improved, then obviously it isn't new...

Last weekend I got a solar powered desk lap from Ikea. (And I think I was spotted by Rex's supervisor, or something like that, from a PM this morning.)
Anyways, the lamp is a small LED desklamp with a solar panel, and on the base it says that it has 3 rechargeable AA batteries inside. I could replace them if I wanted to, and it was preassembled.

I always wanted to know just who the leading brand was. Everyone compared their item to the leading brand, which means none of them were the leading brand, and it meant that the leading brand doesn't even advertise. Kinda creepy if you ask me.

Someone should trademark the name "Leading Brand" and run with it...

Would never work. Then everyone would think that any other product on the shelf is better

When I was a kid in the 70s, there was a company called K-Tel that produced about a jillion compilation albums, and all songs were sung by "the original artists."
I got older and started a band and fought like hell to call our band "The Original Artists."
