I like looking at the WPG website, and may buy some of their kilt hose, but I can't help but wonder how they stay in business.

David,
You answered your own question in the first sentence of this post; as Puffer mentioned, WPG caters primarily to the First & Second World War reenacting community. You will find all sorts of small business similar to WPG that cater specifically to the reenacting/living history community.
And btw, have you ever seen a living history event or a reenactment? Yes, there are some things you wouldn't want to duplicate -- but having worked with living history as part of my time in NPS, when it is done right, it can be a very effective teaching tool, as well as a memorial for those who no longer have a voice.
Some of the most moving compliments I have ever been paid have been from veterans who thanked me for talking the time to get it right when it came to a living history display. When one of those gentlemen or ladies thanks you, then you know you've done something right.
Respectfully,
Todd

I can understand that you do not like the look, but many do.

Puffer,
Thanks for the link, that is really something I have never seen before, and I will have to check it out. I had thought that all the reenactments were civil war and revolutionary war based. I do like WPG's kilts and would consider the BW, but don't feel like I could wear the others. Thanks again.
Respectfully,
David
