    I like that pin. I do need to get one as I seem to have misplaced the only one I have had for years. I do have the large safety pin type that came with my B&S casual, but I want one for semi-formal occasions.

    The "local kilt shop" - jiminy, I wished we had one of those.

    Thanks all, the points on the ends are slightly rounded and the thistle that wraps around the handle of the axe isn't very sharp and doesn't protude very far at all.

    The pin has a bit of weight to it, but it isn't overly heavy. It is Sterling Sliver, so I'm wondering how it will tarnish and how often I'll need to polish it to keep it nice a shiny. The pin measures 4-1/2" high by about an 1-1/2" wide.
