Sorry we missed the games in Caldwell! We had been asked to dance there, but then nothing really happened... who knows! Arlen and I are in Boise, and we will be performing at the Jackson Hole games, so we will have to have an Eastern Idaho/WY meetup then. Arlen and I are definitely in for a meetup in the Boise area, and I know we have a member in Caldwell too.
Oh, or you could also come to dance class on Monday nights!

Certainly is. And look for the Idaho Spud in the candy isle of your favorite grocer. Can't vouch for the southern part, but we have some great microbrews hereabouts.

We've got some darn good microbrews here, too. (Though not as many.)
We also have The Front door which serves some of the best beers from all over the world so I'm all set!
In other news, since this is going to be a regular Kilt Night, we need our own name.
Everyone knows about the NorCal Rabble, S.O.K.S. and S.E.K.S. and The D/FW Rabble.
Now that we Spuds have our own Kilt Night going we need a catchy name.
I spoke to Macthenife and suggested The Southern Idaho Kilt Society... Or S.I.K.S. He thinks it's a good title, but what do you guys think? Anyone who might ever come along is welcome to give us an idea to chew on. I'll discuss them with the folks who show up tonight and we can settle something to arrange further nights with!

Hi there, and welcome! We've heard your group practicing from time to time, and it's always a thrill to have a new band to keep the others in the Treasure Valley on their toes. Got any performances coming up?

Thanks for the welcome! I think I saw some of your girls dancing at the Boise Games recently, if so nice work! I love the dancing! Yes we are practicing hard and trying to get up to speed to perform with the other bands locally, maybe at Burns night, we will see, but most definately for next year at the Boise games! I don't know of any appearances as of right now, we are currently waiting for our kilts to arrive this month from USA kilts, so after we get those then I'm sure that will light a fire under our kilts!
Til next time,
Chris

Our SCD team did perform twice at the games, but we were the ones with the white dresses and black bodices. You're probably thinking of the highland dancing girls (kilts and argyle hose). In any case, I'll keep my eyes peeled for your group. The custom leatherwork you've done is beautiful, by the way.
