In the first ever G&A Black Powder Annual (1974) there's a picture of me, kilted, testing a brace of CVA muzzle loading rifles, as well as a Kentucky flintlock pistol.
I've busted clays and dusted pheasants kilted. Generally, however, I save my kilt for wearing in the evening, apres la chasse!.

Big 1911 fan here. Also M1a. Vintage arms are great fun too. Have a Lee Metford (Sparkbrook, 1900) that is wicked fun, but use only light hand loads in it. Have a thing for interesting hand guns as well: Merwin Hulbert, Wilkinson Pryse and howdah pistols - just to name a few. And did I mention how double rifles and 10 guage shotguns always get my attention??

There is nothing like the recoil of a 4-bore gun to knock the stripes off your kilt!
