I have been considering a UK Survival model in black. I agree that this looks better and it's a lot less expensive.

Not in the market right now, but I like the adjustable waist size idea. Be interested in reading reviews in the future.

I LOVE my black UK Survival! Not looking to upstage it, but I would seriously consider a Compass kilt if it came in some nice, earthy colors--camo might be cool too, but no khaki for me please.

I don't suppose anyone has seen one of these in the flesh yet, have they? I'm not crazy about black... I'd really like to see Olive available. I'm particularly interested in learning how the adjustable waist works. Is it just a matter of fastening more like a traditional kilt with buckles or straps as opposed to snaps?

I emailed Daron and he said he could do an OD with black straps/mesh. I think he said order th black, and type in the color preference for the olive as a note to him.

I have the Compass kilt. I will post pictures next week. The fastener system uses the webbing with a snap. One is on the left and the other on the right. There are multiple mounting points in the webbing to adjust the waist. On the outside the webbing goes all the way around and that is how the pockets are attached. They are removable. Inside the pockets have many compartments. If you are familiar with the Maxpedition gear it will fit the webbing so you can hang a bunch of stuff off of the kilt.

I will be interested to hear how the two compare. I was originally going to go with the Survivor when the Compass came out. Still may get a Survivor someday or a Workman. I will get something posted Monday night.
