Dress it up or leave it be... you got a very good deal reguardless... a three button vest would look smart with it also... see Zardoz upgrades.. I like both looks..

Looking good. A three-button vest would make it even better.

You could even look at a 5 button waistcoat. It would give you the option of a day-wear business look. Ideally, both waistcoats; that would give you 1 jacket, 3 looks. Certainly a good buy.

You do realize that that jacket is evening wear, not a suit jacket right? The 5 button waistcoat is out. I would suggest you go with a proper black bow-tie and drop the white hose for something in a darker colour. As for the black buttons, you could leave them, but Scottish evening wear is all about style and flash.

Yes, though I can't look at the pictures, the jacket is evening wear deu to the lapells mostly. However, you could, and probably should, wear a five button waistcoat with a jabot and the jacket with silver-ish buttons. Though I think you would probably leave the cloth covered buttons on the five button waistcoat. It is possible to get five button waistcoats that are marketed as evening wear and would be of similar materiels as this Eton jacket...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
