Geo Caching certainly seems to be an interesting activity!

Geocache is one of my addictions. Whenever I go on travel, I go to the website, and get the closest 10 points. Cool Picks!

Looks like fun... a lot more fun than what I had to do, yesterday afternoon.
Nice to see Gene in his Lord of the Isles kilt, too.

It was a glorious day. We got a new bird!
Kent called them "suet birds" because they come to the suet feeder in the backyard, and I told him they were white breasted nuthatches, which we already had, but I wasn't 100% sure, so I looked them up when I got home and they are actually Pygmy Nuthatches. Woo hoo! Now we are at 95 birds!
Jamie may have some photos to post as well, but our computer is having some issues, so we'll see if that happens tomorrow.
Thank you so much, Madalyne and Kent, for hosting such a pleasant afternoon.
Be well,
Star

Now that is the way to Geocache, i.e. in a kilt. There are two of us in this part of Ohio doing so.
Bad me however. I have let the summer go without doing much geocaching. I missed a good chance at "first to find" when someone placed a new cache 200 feet off the end of my driveway. I still have not walked across the street to log it.
I am normally in my Amerikilt or Utilikilt when hunting for them.

I might take it up, now that I know I can buy handheld gps units from walmart, they sit there mocking me and calling out to me. I also have a suspicion they might fit in my SWK cargo sporran.

more pics, as promised
Well, now I have to post them don't I!
On our way up highway 280, we got a good view of the zeppelin. For something close to $400.00, you can fly around the Bay Area on this beauty. It has advertising on the side and I was tickled that it was a big X. Ok, so the colors and the shape aren't quite right to be our Saltire, but it was still pretty fun!

The food and company were excellent. Our Amazing hostess Madalyn had such a wonderful spread laid out, I should have taken pictures of the food. I was too busy eating it though. Madalyn takes a much deserved rest after her labors.

M@A had a cool little gadget hanging off the belt loop of his Utilikilt.

A little snap of the wrist and, Voila! A shot glass.

After some appetizers and a little wine, it was time to go and check out the geocache.
While we labored up the hill...

...the kids stayed home and lounged on the couch (Shouldn't this have been the other way around? After all, they're young and strong and should be the ones out there climbing hills!)

The view at the top was well worth any laboring we had to do.

More to come...
Be well,
